This week I was working with Brenda downstairs in he lab. She need help cleaning up after a big third year experiment. I had to put away all of the equipment in the right place and make sure that each bench had the same amount of equipment. I had to clean down all of he benches with a cloth and bleach to disinfect them. Afterwards I brushed down all of the electronic balances and cleaned them turally Just before I finished up I Brenda showed me how some of the different machines work in the lab and what experiments they are used for. At around 11:00 I went for a coffee break with the other workers.
After break Ruth and I were in a smaller office upstairs and we were binding new booklets for the different years. We had to use this machine to glue the pages together and seel them with another canvas strip of paper.
When we were finished with all of the binding Ken need some help moving a few of the machines around with the labs downstairs. We had our lunch at 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock.
When we arrived back from lunch Ruth and I faxed off different documents to some of their suppliers. We also had o post a few letters and file away invoices hat came in during the week.
Ken allowed us finish up around 3:00. I really enjoyed my tome working at the Chemistry Department in Maynooth, I defiantly want to study Chemistry for my leaving Cert. now. I have also got a since of what it is like to study a science coarse in collage and what it entails. I am now seriously concerding a type of science coarse for third level.
